Eye Movement Desensitization
and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Is life feeling too challenging or overwhelming?
Anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, and trauma can impact our bodies and brains’ ability to cope, and can affect our mood, motivation, energy level, confidence, and sense of well-being. This can keep us feeling stuck and prevent us from moving forward and live the life we want and desire.
Are you wanting to move forward with your life?
EMDR can help.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Even though it’s a mouthful, this effective psychotherapy model enables people to heal from the symptoms and stuck-ness of unpleasant or disturbing/painful wounding memories (or future worries). It is a memory based treatment and uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, sounds, etc.) to help unpleasant memories get unstuck and get stored in the brain properly. As a result, those painful memories or worries are no longer disturbing or bothering.
EMDR is an evidenced-based therapy.
There have been many studies that show EMDR therapy is effective with a variety of issues including anxiety, burnout, depression, phobias, traumas. It can speed up the healing process compared to participating in a regular on-going talk psychotherapy. You can read more about EMDR research and effectiveness here.
You can move from feeling stuck to finding yourself.
